A fun and beginner-friendly mixed-media workshop creating your own layered landscape
Sarah will guide you to create your own unique landscape by build interesting layers and texture using a combination of mark making, gelli print, collage and acrylic paint. We’ll be printing, tearing, sticking, drawing, layering as well as applying paint in a variety of techniques so bring your apron!
Plus, as always, lashings of tea/coffee and cake!
Botanical Gel Plate Printing

A relaxed and hands-on creative session in which you will explore the beauty of the changing seasons through the process of gel plate printing.
Using leaves, seed heads, grasses and other botanicals we'll experiment with colour, texture and pattern to create a collection of prints inspired by the natural world. Gel plate printing is a playful and accessible form of printing that encourages you to experiment, layer colours and discover unexpected results. Each print is truly unique and part of the joy is seeing what emerges as you lift the paper from the plate. Prints can be framed, used for cards or developed into further artwork
No experience needed just a willingness to experiment and enjoy the process. Great if you're stuck in a creative 'rut'

Ebb & Flow -Watercolour & Mixed Media Workshop

Ideal for beginners & those seeking permission to 'loosen up'!
This is a relaxed and informal mixed media workshop with an emphasis on watercolour techniques. Firstly, Sarah will guide you to explore mark making and how to work with watercolour paints to achieve a variety effects in order to create expressive and flowing designs. Next, Sarah will support you to create your own cohesive series of mini abstract paintings in a colour palette of your choice on mixed media paper.
Included in your workshop price are 3 lovely 8 x 8" soft-white square mounts* to showcase your 3 favourite paintings (internal aperture to fit 4 x 4" picture)

Easy Abstracts - Mixed Media Workshop

Firstly, Sarah will support you to create a cohesive set of mini abstract paintings on mixed media paper before moving on to working on a 20 x 20cm cradled wood panel for your finished painting
This workshop offers you the opportunity to immerse in the process and paint freely without judgement.

Expressive Semi-abstract Landscapes

Learn to render loose and expressive clouds / skies using a variety of
mixed media materials & different painting techniques
We'll be practicing techniques using watercolour, acrylic and soft pastels on paper before moving on to a 30 x 20cm stretched canvas to create your beautiful painting to take home

A fun, informal and beginner-friendly acrylic workshop designed to help you capture the energy, movement and texture of the sea in a semi-abstract style.
You'll explore a range of expressive paint application techniques - including palette knife, sponge and dynamic brush work - to create depth motion and even a touch of sea spray. Through guided demonstrations and plenty of hands-on experimenting, you'll learn how to build layers, loosen up your mark making and bring your wave to life with confidence and creativity.
Your final piece of work will be on a 15 x 15cm pre-primed cradled wood panel
